Thank A Veteran

We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the courageous Americans who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our liberty and freedom, and Memorial Day is a special time for us to honor and remember these heroes.

Memorial Day also gives us an opportunity to say “thank you” to those veterans still living, who either served or are currently serving on our behalf. We should personally thank every veteran we meet, not just on special days like Memorial Day, but every day.

Below are a few ways to help you get started:

Thank a WWII veteran

Show your gratitude to the men and women of WWII with a personal thank-you. We will ensure that each WWII veteran that visits the Museum receives one of the thank-yous we collect. Plus, each week we'll pick one thank-you to highlight and display throughout the Museum!

Use our online submission form to leave your heartfelt thank-you today!

Send a card, letter or note of thanks to your local VA center

Brighten the spirits of an ill or wounded hero by sending a card, letter or note of thanks to your local VA hospital or medical center. A heartfelt thank-you is a great way to show your appreciation for their service and sacrifice to our nation. Locate a center near you with this online interactive map.
